 Internship Opportunity: Veterinarian (Small Animals)

The internship is designed for young veterinarians who wish to gain professional, practical, and clinical experience. You will be part of a dynamic team working in the Kigali clinic, providing medical care for pets and small animals.

 Internship Details

  • Position: Veterinarian (Small Animals) – Paid Professional Internship
  • Location: Kigali, Rwanda
  • Contract Duration: 6 months (renewable based on performance)
  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Essential Criteria & Qualifications

To qualify for this exciting internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

 Academic Requirements

  • A Doctor Degree in Veterinary Medicine
  • A valid RCVD (Rwanda Council of Veterinary Doctors) Registration Certificate
  • A valid Work License

 Language Skills

  • Excellent command of English, French, and Kinyarwanda (written and spoken)

 Work Experience & Skills

  • At least 5 months of professional experience working with small animals (dogs and cats)
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities
  • Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
  • A driving license (car or motorcycle) will be an added advantage

 Personal Attributes

  • A genuine love, passion, and compassion for animals is a must
  • Understanding of basic animal welfare practices
